Most working people nowadays have to deal with neck, shoulder and back pain. If you have symptoms and don’t treat them right away, and are too busy with work, it can lead to office syndrome and chronic muscle inflammation. These diseases are difficult to completely cure and require continuous treatment over a long period of time.

What is myositis? 

It is a condition in which a muscle in a part of the body becomes inflamed or swollen, caused by

  • Exercising incorrectly or overdoing it 
  • Lack of physical movement or incorrect movement
  • Injuries from accidents such as falls or falling down stairs
  • Using tables and chairs that are not suitable or ergonomic
  • High stress, accumulated stress

In this regard, myositis is divided into 2 types:

1. Acute – Suddenly feeling of muscle pain in a certain area, accompanied by swelling, redness, and burning at that painful point.

2. Chronic – Muscle pain in one area continuously until the muscle in that area contracts, causing a trigger point, and the pain can radiate to other muscles.

Specific symptoms of chronic myositis

  • Muscle pain in one area for more than 1 month 
  • I felt a lump at the painful spot. When pressed, it felt like a sharp pain, which indicates that the muscle is inflamed and has become a tender point.
  • The pain spreads to other parts of the body, such as neck pain that radiates down the arm.
  • Stiffness in movement due to muscle inflammation and tightness, making it difficult to move around.
  • Feeling numb or muscle weakness at the painful point because muscle inflammation is a cellular damage that causes abnormal sensation perception.

Chronic muscle inflammation: don’t ignore it!

If not treated promptly, physical therapy, and behavioral changes are performed, it may cause severe muscle inflammation, develop into office syndrome, ยูฟ่าเบท or eventually lead to abnormalities in other bodily systems, such as the cardiovascular system, bone and tendon system, or digestive system, which are difficult to treat, resulting in a waste of time and relatively high treatment costs.
