Cats with differently colored eyes are not exactly a dozen cents, but their heterochromia is much more common in cats than in most other species, and it is a sign that they are not exactly like us.
Sometimes the eyes are strange – cats have a blue and a red part of the eye; sometimes the eyes look identical. Whereby the “heterochromeia” only reveals itself when the eyes of the cat change into its seductive blue.
For example, if a cat has both eyes that are the same colour as the rest of its body but have a different colour, there is no complete “hormone” in the eye. The colour comparison is very clear: in both cases the eye is dark blue with a bright red and a light blue – greenish – orange colour.
Pedigree, or odd-eyed white cats, have a blue-greenish-orange color with a bright red eye part and a dark blue eye part. The non-blue eyes become yellow, green or brown and in some cases even orange or green.
White cats with two blue eyes have a higher risk of becoming deaf than most others but this is not always followed. If you choose a blue-eyed cat, you should be aware that there are some breeds. That are more susceptible to this disease than others, such as black – and – white or black and white. Blue-eyed white cats are not the only type of cat with heterochromia, but one of the rarest at all. (ufabet)
In fact, the blue iris refraction and the pigmentation of breeding are the two main mechanisms for the development of heterochromia in cat eyes.
The first mechanism is the general cat eye polygen, which produces pigments in cat eyes from gold to green.
The second type causes an iris to have two completely unique colors, and you can have other possible colors where one eye is blue and the other is brown, or where both are brown and one is red.
Some cats have a complete heterochromia, which makes one eye blue and the other brown, and in some cases they end up with differently colored eyes. In some cats this can be found in the form of a white gene (or white gene – stain) that causes pigment loss in both eyes. causing one of the eyes to turn blue.
The same happens in blue-eyed cats, but they have pigment cells in their iris, and because the eyes have a round shape, light in these cats produces a blue eye color. In some cats with sectoral heterochromia melanin does not spread completely from one eye to the other.
Due to their rounded surface, the blue eyes are coloured by the iris pigment and not by the pigments in both eyes, as is the case with some other species.
In some cats with sectoral heterochromia melanin does not spread completely from one eye to the other
so that one of the eyes remains partially blue. The blue eyes may still be the same colour as the eye of a real Siamese cat, which has no pigments, but the dark colour you will see in the eyes of these cats is deeper and richer than copper. These cats have no pigment in a layer, so they do not get brown or black eyes, as some people do.
There is also a central heterochromia
That is, when the part of the cat’s eye surrounding the pupil is different from the rest of the eye, the iris. So if you ever notice that one of your cat’s eyes has turned white, it’s probably Notheterochromeia. If you notice a cat whose eyes turn completely white. you can assume that it is a heterichrome eye, where one eye is completely black and the other is completely blue.
Some cats, bred like Siamese, retain their strange eye color until adulthood, and some kittens have strange eyes. When they are too young to develop their permanent eye color. That is fine as long as their eyes do not change colour, but some cats do.
